  • Ensure exterior cords, tools and products are plugged into GFCI protected outlets
  • Keep outdoor outlets covered and dry
  • Never leave extension cords outside in the winter for extended periods
  • Replace outdoor extension cords every 3 to 4 years, or if damaged
